Merricks Ridge Pinot Noir 2019
Our wines are hand crafted using traditional Burgundian methods of open top fermenters, gentle hand plunging and barrel aging. The wine is made from the free run juice only; it is not fined or filtered. A true reflection of the terroir.
The 2019 vintage produced an elegant wine with good colour and abundant berry fruit on the nose. It’s firmly structured strawberry and cherry fruit character is soft on the palate. This wine has good balance and length with soft integrated tannins. The wine will continue to develop varietal characteristics and complexity with medium to long term cellaring.
Merricks Ridge Rosé 2018
Merricks Ridge use the traditional French technique of saignée (“bleeding” off a portion of the first run juice from our primary pinot noir harvest) to produce this elegant Rosé. Rosé made from Pinot Noir is fruit driven, light, complex and well balanced.
The colour is pale pink-peach, and the bouquet is full of heady aromas of wild strawberries and peach with a hint of watermelon. The palate is refreshing and crisp with enticing summer fruit flavours and a refreshingly dry
